Just got back from the Virtual Jet Centre. When you arrive, it is a really friendly and professional welcome, as well as being kitted out like an airport lounge. Even the Arrival and Departures sign on the outside like you see at a domestic airport. The briefing put’s you in touch with the basics of what to expect before you board the simulator. You choose the destination where you take-off and land. I chose Gatwick to Newquay, with low-level flying along the south coast. The simulator experience does feel really real. To be able to talk and fly alongside a previous Thomas Cook captain was great too. Even though it is a simulation, you still get anxious when it’s not heading quite right. And if you ever took flying for granted, you will not believe the work and concentration that goes it to delivering a domestic flight. A fantastic time, which I would recommend to anyone who has an interest in flying, or looking for something a bit different. Thanks to Martin and everyone at VJC 🙂
