Virtual Jet Centre is an award-winning business located at the Flybe Training Academy in Exeter. The centre is moments away from the M5 and just a few miles from the historic city of Exeter. Originally set up to offer pilot training, we swiftly added flight experiences to our offer. In 2016, we expanded into a corporate events provider and Human Factors training company. The aviation industry has always set the standard for safety training and team development and Virtual Jet Centre employs a team of highly skilled pilots and facilitators to run our events and training courses.

Our 737-800 Jet Simulator
At the heart of the business is our fully bespoke 737-800 jet simulator. Originally developed for the military, this innovative jet simulator combines a state-of-the art full-motion platform with a 220 degree ‘field of view’ display making this simulator the closest experience to a real aircraft possible.
Our Centre offers the 737-800 flight simulator, a training suite with PC-based flight simulators, a cabin fuselage and a comfortable lounge for relaxing with a drink.

Our History
Back in 2013, Captain Andy Wilkins founded the business to share his passion for aviation with a much wider audience. With Andy’s wealth of experience, outgoing nature and enthusiasm, he is the perfect role model to inspire others.
Andy’s extensive experience spans over 30 years and originates from Thomson Airways where he flew both Airbus and Boeing Aircraft for nearly 20 years. Andy’s first love for aviation started as a Private Pilot instructor which was soon followed by training Commercial Airline Pilots.
In addition, Andy is a Multi-Crew Course Instructor (MCCI) which aims to provide formal training for pilots already flying multi-crew aircraft but who have never received any formal MCC training.

Flight Simulator Training For Professionals
The Virtual Jet Centre is designed to offer flight simulation training for professional airline crews. We currently offer our Jet Orientation Course (JOC) and are in the process of applying to the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) for full Approved Training Organisation status, allowing the centre to conduct Multi Crew Cooperation Courses (MCC).
Having a realistic simulator for MCC and JOC training is not good enough, instructors MUST be able to perform to very high standards. I have carefully recruited instructors based on their flying experience, customer service and professionalism. They have been involved in training pilots for Airlines such as British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Global Private Jet Operator, NetJets.
The Virtual Jet Centre offers the JOC, MCC and Boeing 737-800 familiarisation course, which is ideal for interview simulator preparation. All our Instructors have commercial airline experience with 100,000 hours of combined flight time. We are here to advise you and assist you, at various stages throughout your flying career. Whether you need to prepare for an assessment, practice before your six-monthly simulator check or renew your type rating, our experienced team are on hand to help you.
